| Welcome to Shannonvale self catering holiday cottages located in the heart of west Cork. As you can see from our pictures, our tastefully restored stone cottages (four in all) are set in a spacious courtyard setting with lovely gardens and plenty of room for children to roam safely. |  | The area is very scenic overlooking the Argideen river and rolling hills and is within walking distance of the local country pub. The cottages have a lovely rustic atmosphere with patio/barbecue area, private parking, an old stone pond complete with goldfish, a swing and a laundry room. Pets are welcome and a babysitting service is available. | | | We can cater for groups of upto 18 people subject to availability. There are four cottages in total - in two pairs. Two of the cottages sleep four each and the other two sleep five each, so we can accommodate upto eighteen people. The cottages have proved very popular with families and groups of friends who want to holiday together but also wish to maintain a seperate sense of space with living arrangements. They are also very popular with couples and are the ideal romantic getaway. One of the cottages has a balcony from the bedroom overlooking the river. | | | | | Tucked away on a hillside and overlooking the Argideen River (renowned for trout fishing and a popular swimming and picnic spot in the summer months), the cottages are situated in a very scenic area close to all amenities yet "far from the madding crowd." The local country pub is only 100 yards away and colourful Clonakilty with its craft shops, seafood restaurants and lively pubs with nightly music sessions is only two miles. | | | |
